Performed Maa Mansa Puja with great fanfare
Ma Mansa is the goddess of snakes. According to many, Goddess Mansa is worshiped with milk and banana in an earthen dish to ward off snake bites. At the end of the puja, after fasting the whole day, they complete the puja of Mansa with milk and bananas and the women break the fast. According to the Puranas, Manasa is the adopted daughter of Shiva and the wife of Muni Jaratkaru.
